I Hate The Little Mermaid

In my post toddler years I always hated  a couple of those older Disney Princesses. I avoided watching them when they were on because I knew that is was just going to be a big cringe-fest and leaving me a troubled feeling at the pit of my stomach.

I don’t know that much of what happens to them after they get with the prince and those stupid straight to DVD sequels don’t count for me.

Ariel (the little mermaid) She left a Kingdom under the sea where she can explore, go on adventures looking for treasure and do whatever she wants to be cooped up in a castle where she would just sit, look pretty and talk to about one or two people. That has to be the worst deal in the world! It would’ve been better if the movie was like Splash and the guy had the ability to breath underwater and he can visit Ariel without her sacrificing so much. What if the marriage doesn’t work out? Where the hell will she go? She doesn’t know that many humans except for the Prince. Ursula is already dead so it would be difficult for her to get back.

I see her probably selling herself on the street to support herself but only people with fish fetishes will be her customers. Jumping into a marriage without thinking of the consequences is a bad idea. Lucky Disney gave a happily ever after ending.

Cinderella yeah yeah she was abused and treated like a slave by her family but Cinderella was no saint. She’s the biggest animated gold digger I know. From rags to glamerized riches is what almost every rap song is about aside from sex.

Prince: Ummmmm what’s this charge in my credit card?
Cindy: I always use your card when I go to the casino.
Prince:$500000!
Cindy: Yeah I also bought some new dishes and dresses.
Prince: I bought you a new dress last week.
Cindy: That was last weeks style I want to keep up with Snow White.
Prince: I think it’s time you get a job.
Cindy: No.
Prince:…….
Cindy:…..
Prince: *bitch slap*

What should have happen was to order her talking rats to eat step-mother and step-sister alive in their sleep and turn their home into a tailor/dress making business since the rats are so crafty. It could’ve been very successful but nooooooooo she just did it easy and married rich.

Subtle sexist stereotypes made to look cute with songs and talking animals really piss me off.

Pre-Teen Girls and Those Who Market To Them Scare Me

Is there something wrong with the picture? Does it not bother you that these girls are between the ages of 9-12 years old? Should they worry about getting a tan and waxing at the age of nine?!

My history teacher one time told me about the first time she took her nine year old bra shopping. She asked a worker where those training bras were and she was shocked that there were padded wire bras for little girls her young daughters age. Why would a nine year old have a padded bra to make her look so obvious! I must be getting old because we didn’t have this when I was younger.

I feel that the media and everybody out there is trying to sexualized children and it?s been working. Last year, Tesco was forced to remove the Peekaboo pole-dancing kit from the toys and games section of its website, and a couple of years ago, Asda provoked a furore for selling inappropriately adult lingerie for children, including thongs and push-up black lace bras. Pole dancing!? Bra?s!? Thongs!? In a toy store! Why would you market that to children! The big man behind this must be a sick pedophile.

Female Circumcision

Female Circumcision usually occurs in Muslim African communities. A girl going through a procedure is usually between the ages of 4 and 12. Usually a coming of age thing. It is believed that a woman shouldn?t experience sexual pleasure during sex, a woman job is a baby making machine so they remove the clitoris because she doesn?t have the right to enjoy sex.

During the procedure they don?t use any anesthetics and usually use unsanitary cutting objects like sharp tin parts, broken glass, sharp sticks.

It is said that this provide help benefits but experts only see horrible side effects when it comes to this procedure. Side effects include extreme pain, shock, infection, hemorrhage, infertility, incontinence, HIV and death. The most common cause of death is extreme blood lost during the procedure.

Currently there is female genital mutilation taking place in Britain. Hundreds of women, girls and infants were treated at a local hospital after they all experience ?circumcision?. They were mutilated without consent and authorities aren?t doing anything about it.

Angry Working Women Seen As Crazy

I was watching the morning news today and I saw a very interesting but very disappointing report about other people?s thoughts on an angry working woman. According to the report no matter what we do men and women who do the same exact thing will be looked upon differently, we?ve come a long way but not that far. According to research when a man gets angry at the job he?s seen as a strong authority figure but if a woman gets mad the same way then she?s seen as a crazy bitch. Sad sad sad? Because men are seen as the dominant role so it’s fine for him to be angry. Actually it will increase his status but for professional women, her anger might actually decrease her status.

But the good news is that you can change someone?s perspective of you if you explain why your angry?but still the men don?t have to explain why they?re angry, only the women.

Knocked Up

Regarding my last post about pedophilia I not exactly rooting for them to get these ?child love? rights. If you thought I was then sorry for the confusion.

Anywhoooo?I was browsing someone?s blog and I noticed on the side they had a flicker picture. I clickitied it and already could tell it wasn?t something good because half of the other pictures were of genitalia.

It was a poster of that movie KNOCKED UP.Here Is The LinkThe movie is a comedy about two people who are completely different and they have a one night stand. You know what happens and then they decide to try to be a couple because they created a baby. It goes something like that?I never actually saw the movie myself though.

Whoever uploaded the poster was wondering why didn?t the female character in the movie have an abortion.

Exact Words were:
?This poster infuriates me! Although I really liked the movie, I thought that WHY she didn’t get an abortion was unexplained. This is the kind of thing that makes women ashamed of abortion.?

What do you mean why she didn?t get an abortion?! Should I go to the hospital nursery and ask every woman who just given birth why she didn?t get an abortion? And I don?t think that this movie makes women feel ashamed about abortion. It?s a comedy! I don?t know how abortion could be funny?.yet.

1. If she had an abortion then the movie would be like ten minutes long.
2. If it were realistic then it wouldn?t be entertaining.

I know I don’t sound like it right now but I am PRO- CHOICE. If you think about it then the woman in the movie did follow HER choice. She wanted to keep the baby, you bashing the movie/Hollywood because she didn?t have an abortion is like pro-life people bashing those who have been through an abortion. Hypocrites.

It?s called pro-choice not pro-abortion.
