I’ve Got Soul But I’m Not A Soldier
The news has been really depressing lately. Every time they talk about something I feel my soul breaking. I should really stop leaving the news on.
First it was those tourist who got stabbed in Beijing. Then Bernie Mack and Isaac Hayes dies. Also there some conflict between Georgia and Russia. Also in bad news a rescue plane that rescued these firemen crashed…how unlucky could you get?
But in good news.
Despite the bombings and conflict from these two countries Russia’s Natalia Paderina and Georgia’s Nino Salukvadze hugged after winning Olympic silver and bronze medals. I think it’s funny though that it was a pistol competition.
Also American swimmer Michael Phelps broke his own world record at the medley final and won gold. He needs to win 3 more to go to win the most gold medals.

Now on a very different note I HATE TWILIGHT I’ve seen bloggers post about it before and talked about it’s the best book ever written and how it changed their lives or whatever. Really?! Me being a feminist the main character made me want to punch myself in the ovaries. In the second book Bella Swan tries to kill herself just to hear her love Mr. Glow-In-The-Dark Edward Cullen ‘velvet’ voice. She is so dependent needy and I’m pretty sure she has borderline personality disorder. She is also a Mary-Sue, she looks like the author and she thinks she’s ugly but everybody loves her in school…Mary Friken Sue.
Mike: Hi Bella.
Bella: Ewwwww you’re being nice to me.
Edward: Hi Bella.
Bella:Ooooooh do me Edward!
Now on the other half of the disturbing love affair Edward Cullen. He makes Bella go to the prom with him when she has a broken leg. He also takes the engine out of her car so she can’t see her friend and he holds her hostage so she won’t be able to go out. Now that’s what I call true love! It disturbs me that so many girl’s are looking for their own ‘Edward Cullen’ a real guy who acts like that is the kind who would slap you around if you didn’t get diner done. Did Stephanie Meyer not take basic psychology?
I guess I understand why many young girl’s love this book, they don’t have that much experience and don’t realize that healthy relationships aren’t like that. To be good you have to have a life outside of your lover but for Bella if it’s not Edward then it’s wolf boy Jacob. ” You are my soulmate but I love Edward” that is the stupidest shit that I have ever read in my entire life.
For those who are fans of Twilight go to fanfiction fictionpress and quizilla. You will be amazed at the quality literature of 12-year-olds that far exceeds that of Ms. Stephanie Meyer.
For those who hate it and have a livejournal check out twilight sucks, i hate twilight and venom apple.

As for Twilight, I feel you. It’s cheesy and corny and cringe-worthy as shit, and I cannot believe some people are comparing it to the legendary Vampire Chronicles of Anne Rice, which is more “ripe” in the character development department and definitely, by a mile, has stronger writing. The travesty, oh the bloody travesty!
On a different note, what’s with the “obrigatório confidencial” thing on your “leave a reply” box? WTF mi no habla espanol! Who do you think I am, Dora the Explorer WTF! Puta madre WTF. Abadacadabra wtf. LOL ;-p
Well, I don’t really care if you like Twilight or not.
It’s your opinion anyway, I will respect that. As for me, I still love Twilight and the next three installment after it. 
I don’t need to explain why I like it, I just do. For me, it’s very different from the books I’ve read.

I’ve seen a lot of people post things about Twilight on Facebook but I’ve never read it before. However just from your review, I’m already turned off by it since I’m a feminist myself. It frustrates me when books and manga/anime have really weak and pathetic female lead.

LOOOOOOOORD Twilight. I refuse to read it out of stubbornness and unwillingness to conform. Back in the day I was an Anne Rice fan, I have had my fill of vampires and such creatures ithankyou. ahaha It’s good to know we aren’t alone.

All I’ve heard about Twilight is that it is drop dead amazing and its nice to hear another opinion. Now I want to read it more then ever! Not that I like the plot, infact I am a feminist too but I just like those old fashioned love stories that might be shallow but are real. I am in the midst of reading Jane Eyre and if Twilight is any similar then I do think I’ll like it.

People..ahem, mainly girls, keep blogging about how “manly and wonderful” that Cullen dude whoever he is, and how they wish they were Bella, I thought at one point, maybe I want to try that book, but frankly, shit like that bore me. i agree with you 100% on that silly twilight book! i dont know, i just hate romance stories. when its centered around some silly teenage ‘love’. vampire stories, cool. vampire attacking each other stories, even better. vampires in love with mortal stories, no freaking way. get out of here with that xD.

Anyway, you were like, “Fan fiction is better than stephanie meyer”, which is entirely possible. There is a dude called Perspicacity who has some pretty good stuff (doesn’t exactly fit twelve year old stereotype, he’s thirty-some and has more than one PhD (who the hell needs more than one PhD? You’d think it’s complete overkill, but apparently he needed the one before he could get the other) and if you can get into present-tense work (don’t just think he’s stupid, it’s a deliberate and calculated move), it’s pretty fantastic. Tch, I was thinking about copy/pasting a loose defense of fan fiction I wrote to some journalist after she made fun of fan fiction in the NYT, but I figured you had better things to do with your time.
