Think Twice Before Posting Personal Pictures On Flickr
Recently a Texas family is suing Virgin Mobile for using their daughters photograph for Advertisements.
She is grief stricken and humiliated after her photo has been all over billboards and websites without her consent.
According to the files the company got the image from the popular image sharing website Flickr.

A mother is shock to find that her young boy’s pictures are in a Portuguese dating site profile under the name ‘Billy’. Some pedophiles have made creepy comments such as ‘I love you Billy’ and even something that seemed like a love poem.
The mother was quoted saying ” I feel sick to my stomach. I just felt queasy and started crying.”
She has since then removed all her son’s pictures from Flickr.

I personally don’t really use Flickr but I wouldn’t post a picture that I didn’t want to be seen.
This is so stupid. I would never post my pictures online..
Hmm, there you go! Weird that they do that though. Even more weird how the mother of “Billy” came across the picture…
That’s why I like to keep my photos private on Flickr. You don’t know what’ll happen to them otherwise.
In response to my blog: No, I do not have money all over the place. I don’t wanna sound rude but had you paid attention to my previous blogs you’d know that it was a class I am taking. Not someone I am paying. Please don’t take that personally, it was just to let you know so that you’ll pay closer attention in the future. I like my commentors to atleast make it seem like they actually read my posts. :/ It’s embarassing otherwise.
Thanks!
now!
That’s creepy. I was gonna start using Flickr too. D: I was gonna sign up to Virgin Mobile too! I dunno what to think other than “WTF”. But, on things like photobucket and stuff I try to keep that private because I’ve had way too many weirdos email me. -_- do not want weirdos.
omg. scary. But I don’t look like a 9 year old kiddie. haha.
hey, your feed is messing up, when I click it, it goes nowhere, so I had to go here straight. weird.
