Maggot Filled Chinese Chocolates
Sorry to say its not a form of delicacy. Some of you may recall the Fake Disneyland post China’s reputation hasn’t improved much since then. They recently recalled of all the Mattel toys because of high amounts of lead. Why did they use lead paint instead of the regular safer paint? Because it was cheaper. Save money in exchange for kids health makes perfect sense.
A South Korean recently bought an imitation box of chocolates from China. He found larva from moths all over them. Seems like during the unsanitary Chinese process these moths were able to be part of the chocolates.
I bet you the government is telling the people how much everyone in the world is pissed at them right now.

Well, I dunno. I have nothing against Chinese people, but some Chinese manufacturers just help the superficial thought of Chinese people, that they’re consistently cheap people.

OMG and to think i was eatting when i watched that video! lol. yanno in the clip where they were talking about how stuff from china such (one of them being toothpaste) i was like flipping out when i went to brush my teeth… i was examining it for AT LEAST 10 mins. my boyfriend was like “uhhh what are you doing?” i was like “looking for maggots in my toothpaste…your toothpaste didn’t come from china did it??” he just sat there and laughed.

Ewww, that’s all so gross. It’s hard to believe all this is happening, but it is. It’s so sad for the people’s health there. How do moths mix with chocolate, anyway? Shouldn’t factories be sanitary?

First of all I didn’t hear of the Mattel recall in China but it is just sad that these people would rather save a bit of money then ensure the healthiness of a child. Now that the company has to do an entire recall, it will end up being much more expensive to create the toys again; thus showing that if they had used non-lead paint then they would have saved money in the long run.
Its scary to realize how unhygienic many places are in the world. I guess we don’t always realize it because we live in first world countries (and while we still have dirty restaurants and companies, its not as bad as other poorer countries).
On the bright side (if there is one) your post just inspired me a way to get my little cousin to stop eating chocolate all the time :P.

And yup. Anything made-in-China-related is starting to alarm the whole world, including the Philippines. In fact, the gov’t is currently pulling out food products that have been proven to contain formaldehyde out of the market.

*Sigh* I’m Chinese, but for some reason I really dislike my country and the usual behaviour of them (talks very loudly, squashing the person in front when queuing etcetera).
I don’t like the idea of celebrities much either. I used to be a huggggge fan when I was ten then got tired of it and stuck my tongue out at them peering out a glossy magazine xD

damn, this is why China still poor in health-care system. Manufactures are cheap and disgust environmental workplace… I don’t know why, The Chinese keep comparing their economics to the world most powerful Country, USA, China is nothing but a worst imitator.
How is eating moth larvae any worse than sucking down corn syrup? I’d say that drinking a soft drink or eating a candy bar poses a greater health risk.
Then again the American public is so used to the idea of suckling fermented corn that something like this would attract more attention.
